Alivira TILMONA (tilmicosin) is a macrolide antibiotic indicated for the metaphylaxis, treatment, and prevention of respiratory infections in livestock and poultry.
INDICATIONS
Poultry (Chickens & Turkeys)
- Mycoplasmosis: Treatment and prevention of respiratory infections caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae.
- Other Respiratory Pathogens: Used against Pasteurella multocida and Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale (ORT).
- Swine Respiratory Disease (SRD): Treatment and control of respiratory diseases associated with Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, and Haemophilus parasuis.
- Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD): Treatment and metaphylaxis of pneumonia and other respiratory complications associated with Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Mycoplasma bovis, and Mycoplasma dispar.
ADMINISTRATION
- Pigs: The solution is added to drinking water to treat respiratory diseases. Do not use in wet feeding systems.
- Chickens (Broilers & Pullets): The product is incorporated into drinking water, typically managed over several consecutive days.
- Turkeys: The solution is administered via drinking water, generally treated for a set number of consecutive days.
- Calves: The product is diluted directly into milk replacer or clean water for oral consumption.
- Target Dose: Administer at a rate of 15 to 20 mg of tilmicosin per kg of body weight.
- Water Dilution: The medication is typically mixed into the flock’s daily drinking water supply. Exact dilution rates depend on the average body weight and daily water consumption of the birds, and should be calculated according to package instructions.
- Treatment Duration: It is generally administered for 3 to 5 consecutive days.
