Alivira SELVO (levofloxacin) is a highly potent fluoroquinolone antibiotic used in veterinary medicine primarily to treat broad-spectrum bacterial and Mycoplasma infections.
INDICATIONS
In chickens and turkeys, it is heavily relied upon to control severe respiratory and enteric conditions.
- Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD) and Complicated CRD (CCRD) triggered by Mycoplasma mixed with E. coli.
- Colibacillosis caused by pathogenic Escherichia coli.
- Salmonellosis and severe intestinal enteritis.
- Infectious Coryza and Acute Bacterial Sinusitis.
- Fowl Cholera caused by Pasteurella multocida.
Livestock Indications (Sheep & Goats)
It targets both the breathing and digestive systems of small ruminants.
- Respiratory Tract Infections: Acute pneumonia, pasteurellosis, and deep tissue respiratory conditions.
- Alimentary Tract Infections: Bacterial diarrhea and gut overgrowth.
- Haemorrhagic Septicaemia (HS): Outbreak management of this severe, systemic disease.
ADMINISTRATION
- Poultry: Mix 1 ml of solution per 2 liters of drinking water (in severe cases, 1 ml per 1 liter). Administer continuously once daily for 3 to 5 days. During treatment, the medicated water should be the animal’s only source of drinking water.
- Sheep and Goats: Administer individually at a rate of 1 to 2 ml per 40 kg of body weight. Give once daily for 3 to 5 days.
- Fresh Mixtures: Always prepare a fresh aqueous solution daily based on the expected consumption volume for that day.
