ADMINISTRATION

Administered as a single, one-time dose. The administration route depends entirely on the target animal species:
    • Cattle: Administered subcutaneously (under the skin) in the neck.
    • Pigs and Sheep: Administered intramuscularly (deep into the muscle) in the neck.

Guidelines
  • Dosage Calculation: The standard dosage for all target species is 2.5 mg/kg of body weight. This equates to 1 mL of the injection per 40 kg of body weight.
  • Volume Limits Per Site: To prevent tissue irritation, heavy animals should have the dose split across multiple injection sites.
      • In cattle, do not inject more than 7.5 mL (or 10 mL, depending on the specific formulation/label) per site.
      • In pigs, do not inject more than 2 mL to 4 mL per site.

  • Safety: Use a draw-off needle or multi-dose syringe to avoid excessive puncturing of the vial stopper.
