Alivira DICLACARE (diclazuril) is a antiprotozoal medication indicated for the prevention of coccidiosis in lambs and calves.

INDICATIONS

• Lambs: Prevention of clinical signs of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria crandallis and Eimeria ovinoidalis.
• Calves: Prevention of clinical signs of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria bovis and Eimeria zuernii.

ADMINISTRATION

• • • Calculate Dosage Accurately: Weigh the animals to calculate the exact dose. The therapeutic dose is 1 mg diclazuril per kg of body weight (1 ml suspension per 2.5 kg).
    • Use Correct Equipment: Administer the suspension directly into the mouth using suitably calibrated drenching equipment (such as a drenching gun) to prevent under- or overdosing, especially when working with small volumes.
    • Group Management: If treating a herd or flock, separate animals into weight groups to ensure precise dosing.
    • Timing: For best results, treat animals before the onset of symptoms (in the early stages of the infectious cycle).

  Note: The withdrawal period for meat and offal is zero days, but it is not authorized for use in animals producing milk for human consumption.
