INDICATIONS

Cattle and Buffalo
  • Respiratory Disease: Treats Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD, shipping fever, pneumonia) associated with pathogens like Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, and Histophilus somni.
  • Reproductive Infections: Manages post-partum (post-calving) conditions including acute metritis, endometritis, pyometra, retained fetal membranes (placenta), and dystocia.
  • Foot and Hoof Issues: Treats acute interdigital necrobacillosis (foot rot or pododermatitis) associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus.
Swine
  • Bacterial Pneumonia: Treats and controls swine respiratory diseases associated with Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella choleraesuis, and Streptococcus suis.
Other Species
  • Horses: Indicated for respiratory infections associated with Streptococcus zooepidemicus.
  • Lambs: Used to treat respiratory diseases (pneumonia) associated with Mannheimia haemolytica.
  • Dogs: Used to treat urinary tract infections associated with Escherichia coli and Proteus mirabilis.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Dosage Rate: Standard dosage for cattle and livestock ranges from 1.1 to 2.2 mg/kg body weight daily. For conditions like acute metritis, this may be increased to 2.2 mg/kg. For horses, the recommended range is 2.2 to 4.4 mg/kg.
  • Injection Limits: Do not inject more than 15 ml per single injection site.
  • Treatment Duration: Typically administered once daily for 3 to 5 days, depending on the severity of the clinical response and the specific infection being treated.
  • Target Animals: Formulated for cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats, and horses.
Important Safety Notes
  • Never give intravenously (IV), as accidental IV administration can result in sudden death.
  • Withdrawal Times: Specific withdrawal periods (e.g., 7 days for meat) vary by regional regulations and the species being treated. Always consult your prescribing veterinarian for exact local withholding times.
