INDICATIONS

Poultry
    • Respiratory Infections: Treatment and control of Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD) and air sac infections.
    • Specific Diseases: Effective against Fowl Cholera, E. coli, Salmonella, and infectious coryza.
    • Gut Health: Prevents white dysentery and aids in the management of infectious synovitis.

Swine
    • Respiratory Disease: Aids in treating respiratory diseases associated with Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae and toxigenic Pasteurella multocida.
    • Gastrointestinal Issues: Control and treatment of bacterial enteritis (E. coli scours), paratyphoid, and dysentery.

Calves (Under 6 months)
  • Respiratory Diseases: Treatment of pneumonia and bovine respiratory disease (BRD) associated with Pasteurella spp..
  • Enteric Infections: Control and treatment of bacterial enteritis (calf scours).

ADMINISTRATION

    • Standard Inclusion Rate: Typically, the recommended inclusion rate is 1 kg of premix per 3 metric tonnes (3,000 kg) of complete feed.
    • Mixing Tip: To ensure thorough dispersion, first mix the required amount of the premix with a smaller batch of feed (e.g., 50 kg) before blending it into the final total ration.
    • Dosage per Body Weight: It is often dosed at roughly 20 mg of active chlortetracycline per kg of body weight daily.
    • Pelleting: If the feed is being pelleted, do not expose the mixture to temperatures exceeding 70°C.

Duration and Target Animals
    • Species: Used for poultry, swine, and calves.
    • Treatment Duration: Treatments generally last for 5 to 7 consecutive days, depending on the targeted infection.
    • Withdrawal Periods: Always observe a required withdrawal period (which varies by species) before slaughter to ensure animal products are safe for human consumption.

  • Precautions: Avoid inhaling the dust during dispensing and mixing; it is highly recommended to wear a face mask.
  • Alternatives: Do not administer this product concurrently with other oral medications or mix it into liquid feed supplements, milk, or milk replacers.
