Alivira TEROXYLIN spray (oxytetracyclin) is a broad-spectrum topical antibiotic aerosol indicated for the treatment and prevention of superficial bacterial infections in livestock and domestic animals.

INDICATIONS

• Foot Rot and Hoof Infections: Treats foot rot, scald, and digital dermatitis in sheep, goats, and cattle.
• External Wounds: Prevents secondary bacterial contamination in lacerations, cuts, abrasions, and open skin tears.
• Surgical Site Care: Applied post-procedure on sites like castrations, tail docking, dehorning, and amputations.
• Skin Infections and Dermatitis: Treats superficial bacterial dermatitis, skin burns, and localized pyoderma.
• Teat Infections: Controls superficial lesions and cracked skin infections on the udders and teats of dairy livestock.

ADMINISTRATION

• Prepare the Wound: Gently clean the affected skin or hoof area, removing any dirt or debris before spraying.
• Shake the Can: Shake the aerosol container thoroughly prior to use.
• Spray Distance: Hold the nozzle roughly 15 to 20 cm (6 to 8 inches) away from the target area.
• Application: Press the nozzle and spray for a few seconds until the lesion is adequately covered. A marker dye is usually included in the formula to help you see exactly which areas have been treated.
• Frequency: Typically applied 1 to 2 times daily, or as directed by a registered veterinarian.
