VETICEFT-SF Ceftriaxone & Tazobactum Injection

Alivira VETICEFT-SF is a broad-spectrum antibiotic combining used to treat severe, resistant bacterial infections in livestock and companion animals.

Formulated for use in both livestock and companion animals.
Respiratory Infections: Pneumonia, shipping fever, and lower respiratory tract infections.
Mastitis: Inflammation of the udder, particularly those caused by resistant strains.
Reproductive Infections: Metritis (uterine infections) and other uro-genital tract issues.
Systemic Infections: Bacterial septicemia and other severe infections.
Soft Tissue & Wounds: Dermatological infections, foot rot, and pre/post-operative surgical prophylaxis.
Bone, Joint & Abdominal: Infectious osteoarthritis and intra-abdominal infections.

Routes: Can be injected directly into the vein (IV) or deep into a large muscle (IM).
General Dosage: The standard dosage is typically 5 to 10 mg/kg body weight. However, exact dosages depend heavily on the severity of the infection and the target animal species.
Duration: Treatment is typically administered once or twice daily for 3 to 5 days.
Mixing: It must be reconstituted exactly as directed by your veterinarian using sterile water or saline.

Important Precautions

Allergies: Do not administer this medication to animals with a known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or penicillin-class drugs.
Site Selection: IV injections should be given slowly (over 2 to 5 minutes) or via infusion. For IM injections, large muscles are preferred to avoid unintentional injection into a blood vessel.
